A 7.4-magnitude earthquake shakes western Colombia, leaving 2 dead

A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia on Monday, killing at least two people.

Dozens of buildings collapsed across cities in western Colombia, trapping residents under debris.

The epicenter was in San Jose Del Palmar, a Choco region community of about 4,800 people, about 250 miles west of Bogota.

The quake struck at a depth of 66 miles and was also felt in neighboring Ecuador.
