Shiho Kuwaki wins the Women's British Open
Shiho Kuwaki of Japan won the Women's British Open, defeating Germany's Esther Henseleit on the second hole of a playoff. The tournament saw American Yealimi Noh hold a three-shot lead heading into the final round after benefiting from a late collapse by fellow competitor Ryu, but she was unable to hold on. Kuwaki's victory adds her name to a growing list of Japanese players to have won LPGA major titles. Attention in women's golf now turns to the Solheim Cup, where Europe captain Anna Nordqvist has completed her team by selecting veteran Leona Maguire alongside three rookies.
