Michael Thorbjornsen wins the final Rocket Classic in Detroit

Michael Thorbjornsen claimed his first PGA Tour title at the Rocket Classic in Detroit, shooting a final-round 7-under 63 to finish at 18 under and win by two strokes. The tournament, held at Detroit Golf Club, was the eighth and final edition of the Rocket Classic on the PGA Tour schedule. Thorbjornsen overcame a tightly packed leaderboard that had featured challengers including Davis Riley, who held a one-shot lead heading into the final round, and Cameron Young, who had threatened the PGA Tour scoring record in the second round.
